Job summary

AFECO is recruiting a Site Manager to lead on-site construction, installation and commissioning for water and wastewater projects across the UK. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver safe, compliant, and quality outcomes on time and to budget.

Working within a forward-thinking environment, you will manage CDM compliance, RAMS, and site safety while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor in water/wastewater utilities.
• Strong understanding of water industry construction activities, MEICA integration.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good knowledge of H&S regulations, CDM 2015, and quality control.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, schedules, RAMS, and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations across civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICA works.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers for safe delivery.
• Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure safety, RAMS, CDM compliance and permit-to-work systems.
• Monitor quality against drawings and specifications.
• Oversee surveys, temporary works, lifting, and commissioning activities.
• Track progress, productivity, and cost variations against the programme.
• Communicate with clients, project managers, consultants, and regulators.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and public liaison as needed.
