Job summary

AFECO is seeking site-based electricians to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will install, test, and sign off electrical systems on water sector projects at treatment works and pumping stations across the region.

You will work with risk assessments, follow BS7671 standards, and complete paperwork. Travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays may be required. A positive can-do attitude and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• 17th/18th Edition (essential)
• City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection (advantageous)
• ECS Gold card (essential)
• EUSR clean water card (preferable)
• JIB Gold card (advantageous)
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Confined spaces training (preferable)
• Emergency first aid or First Aider (preferable)
• Able to work well in a team and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation and refurbishment works on water sector sites
• Work on client sites regionally with potential overnight stays
• Read risk assessments, method statements and install according to drawings
• Complete paperwork and compile reports to demonstrate testing and installation
• Ensure BS7671 compliance and company standards
