Site Manager - Roofing & Rainscreen Cladding | West Midlands | Full-time
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing and rainscreen cladding projects. The successful candidate will manage all on-site activities, ensure health & safety compliance, maintain quality standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership, technical knowledge of roofing and façade systems, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Manage the day-to-day operations of roofing and rainscreen cladding installation works on site. Ensure project milestones are achieved in line with the construction programme. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour resources effectively.
- Health & Safety: Implement and monitor on-site health & safety plans, RAMS, and toolbox talks. Ensure all works are carried out in line with CDM regulations and company policies.
- Quality & Compliance: Monitor workmanship to ensure installations meet design specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards. Carry out quality inspections and resolve technical/site issues promptly. Maintain accurate site records including QA documentation, progress reports, and photographic evidence.
- Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead and motivate site operatives and subcontractors to deliver high standards. Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team to ensure clear communication. Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Commercial Awareness: Track progress against budget and schedule. Identify and report potential risks, delays, or cost implications early. Assist with procurement and materials management to reduce waste and downtime.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in roofing and/or rainscreen cladding projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems (e.g., flat, pitched, single ply, liquid) and rainscreen cladding systems (e.g., ACM, aluminium, terracotta, stone, high-pressure laminate).
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- CSCS card (Black or Gold).
- First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Computer literate with experience using project reporting tools.
