Job summary

Watkin Jones PLC is recruiting a Site Manager for refurbishment schemes in Glasgow, managing a major Ard student accommodation project. The role oversees daily site operations, ensures safety and quality, drives progress, coordinates subcontractors and reviews drawings to keep projects on budget.

You’ll work with the Contracts Manager and QS, take part in coordination meetings, and contribute to meeting programme milestones while supporting senior management in delivery of value across

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a construction or development setting.
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS certifications, a First Aid qualification, and NVQ/Apprenticeship/HNC.
• Ability to review construction drawings and use Microsoft Office.
• Experience supervising subcontractors or in roles such as Assistant Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of site activities, ensuring safety and quality.
• Drive progress to meet programme milestones and budgets.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site operations.
• Communicate clear site instructions and coordinate with the project team.
• Review drawings and plans to keep projects on budget and minimize waste.
• Support the senior management team and participate in coordination meetings.
