Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a specialist cleanroom fit-out inside a live semiconductor facility in Central London. You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to exacting quality standards.

This nine-month, full-time onsite contract offers a competitive rate of £380 per day, Outside IR35, with start at end of September 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing construction fit-out and installation projects.
• Experience on cleanroom, laboratory, or semiconductor projects.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in live, highly regulated environments.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a specialist cleanroom fit-out project within a live semiconductor manufacturing facility in Central London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile project in a highly regulated environment, where attention to detail, safety, and quality are paramount.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site activities, and maintain effective communication between the client, project team, and supply chain throughout the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and programme delivery.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
• Monitor health & safety compliance and ensure industry best practices are maintained.
• Chair and attend site coordination meetings.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise project disruption.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and project leadership teams.

Requirements

Essential:

• Proven experience managing construction fit-out and installation projects.
• Previous experience working on cleanroom, laboratory, or semiconductor projects.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a live and highly regulated environment.

Desirable:

• Experience working within operational manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of cleanroom commissioning and validation processes.
