Job summary

Wates Construction in Liverpool is seeking a Site Manager to join the team at HMP Liverpool, delivering construction works within a live custodial environment. You will take ownership of site delivery, coordinating multiple work packages and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and programme performance.

The role involves day-to-day management of on-site activities, working with project managers, supply chain partners and stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience on construction sites.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate multiple teams.
• Excellent communication with team, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigations.
• Experience in custodial/live environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
• Ensure works meet safety requirements and programme milestones.
• Monitor progress and resolve issues impacting schedule.
• Maintain high quality standards across the works.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractor activities.
• Keep accurate site records and documentation.
