Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd in the Midlands or Leeds is seeking a hands-on Site Manager with a strong electrical background to oversee on-site operations for a large industrial warehouse project.

You will manage HV/LV electrical works, coordinate personnel, review RAMS, and ensure safety and quality on-site. The role is temp-to-perm with an immediate start and a rate of £31 per hour.

Candidates should hold an ECS Black or Gold and SMSTS, with proven supervisory experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee electrical works on a large-scale industrial warehouse project in the Midlands or Leeds area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong electrical background, capable of managing site operations, coordinating work activities and ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.

The position is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and electrical installation works involving high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems.
• Manage site personnel, coordinate work activities and monitor project progress.
• Prepare, review and ensure compliance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality control and site compliance.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and agreed programmes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Site Manager or equivalent supervisory role within electrical construction.
• Experience overseeing HV/LV electrical works, ideally on large industrial or warehouse projects.
• Valid Black or Gold ECS card.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, site safety and construction site management.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Rate: £31.00 per hour.
• Working pattern: 58-hour weekly schedule, comprising 48 working hours and 10 paid door-to-door travel hours, as specified.
• Mileage: Business mileage covered daily, up to 40p per mile.
• Contract: Temporary-to-permanent.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Location: Midlands or Leeds, depending on project requirements.
