Vertu FM is seeking an Electrical Site Manager to oversee a live electrical installation on a new-build residential development in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role is site-based, permanent and full-time, with 37.5 hours per week.

You will manage direct Labour, subcontractors, and deliveries, ensure safety and quality, coordinate drawings and programme, and support testing and handover with the Project Manager. Salary £50,000–£60,000 DOE plus car allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and ECS/CSCS site-management card.
• Experience as Electrical Site Manager or similar within M&E/construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, drawings, site delivery and relevant standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Residential new-build electrical project experience is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Carry out quality inspections, snagging and corrective action follow-up.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and progress updates.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and communication with the Project Manager.

We are working with a reputable and growing mechanical and electrical contractor delivering building services packages on construction projects.

Due to continued growth, they are recruiting into their projects team. This site-based position supports an electrical building services package on a new-build residential development.

The Role:

• Oversee day-to-day electrical installation works on a live construction project.
• Coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, other trades, materials and deliveries.
• Manage site activities against drawings, specifications, programme and quality requirements.
• Lead site Health & Safety activities, toolbox talks and RAMS compliance.
• Monitor progress, raise technical queries and escalation programme or coordination risks.
• Carry out quality inspections, snagging and corrective action follow-up.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and progress updates.

The Person:

• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and an appropriate ECS/CSCS site-management card.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor or similar within M&E/construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, drawings, site delivery and relevant standards.
• Confident supervising subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade works.
• Strong Health & Safety, communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous new-build residential electrical project experience advantageous.

The Package:

• Salary £50,000 - £60,000DOE inc car allowance
• £5,000 car allowance (inc in salary above)
• Permanent, full-time position.
