Job summary

McLaughlin and Harvey are seeking a Site Manager to lead complex, high value projects in London. You will oversee safe delivery, manage subcontractors, coordinate permits and utilities, and drive programmes to ensure on-time completion.

You will work within a collaborative team, demonstrate strong health & safety leadership, and contribute to project success across commercial, retail, healthcare, or education sectors.

Qualifications

• CSCS/CSR card required.
• SMSTS qualification required.
• First Aid at Work (Desirable).
• Professional qualification (Desirable).
• Relevant construction experience across commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment or new build.
• Proven ability to manage and control subcontractors to programme, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience of temporary works procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to produce short term programmes.

Responsibilities

• Drive safe delivery of high quality medium to large scale projects to budget and programme.
• Understand the scope of works, contracts, and key project stakeholders.
• Manage subcontractor packages and paper/handed orders with site team.
• Issue permits, coordinate material orders, and liaise with utilities and highways.
• Work with PM and PQS on scope and progress.
• Coordinate temporary works and risk assessments for site activities.
• Develop and manage short-term programmes and reporting.
