Job summary

Kier Group in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, is seeking a Site Manager to lead highways and civil engineering projects across the region. You will manage site teams, coordinate resources, and ensure safe, high-quality, on-time delivery in live highway environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects under NEC4 contracts.
• Hold an HNC/HND/degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Certifications such as SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor and 12D M7 Traffic Management or equivalent.
• Full driving licence with ability to travel to project sites across the region.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kier site teams and operatives, coordinating plant, materials and resources to deliver safely, efficiently, and on programme.
• Produce and review Construction Phase Plans, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Act as Principal Contractor, manage subcontractors and oversee delivery of civil engineering/highways projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, Commercial teams and Planners to drive performance.
• Build relationships with clients, local authorities and the public.
• Monitor workmanship and perform quality inspections per ITPs and project requirements.
