Job summary

Kier Group seeks a Site Supervisor to join our North Northamptonshire Council team in Brixworth. You will supervise on-site maintenance and improvement schemes on a live public highway, upholding safety and SHEQ procedures.

The role is site-based, 40 hours per week, with a company van and comprehensive benefits. Applicants should hold SSSTS/SMSTS and related certifications, a UK driving licence, and have civil/highways project experience.

Qualifications

• Industry qualifications including SSSTS/SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, 12D Lantra Traffic Management.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.
• Experience supervising direct labour teams and civil subcontractors on highways projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of workforce and public in line with Kier processes.
• Manage on-site construction works including footway reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements and structures repairs.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections, monitor progress on site, report issues to site managers.
• Support CDM compliance, risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Inspect quality of work against inspection/test plans and specifications.
