Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Site Manager for a groundworks package in Taunton. Immediate start, 12 months minimum with potential further packages. You will manage day-to-day groundworks, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and programme alignment on site.

Experience in industrial groundworks with a strong safety focus is essential. SMSTS and CSCS are required; First Aid at Work is desirable. Competitive day rate and ongoing opportunities available.

Site Manager - Groundworks

Location: Taunton Rate: £270-£330 per day (DOE) - Negotiable Start: Immediate Duration: 12 Months Minimum / Ongoing IR35: Outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a very large and successful groundworks contractor on an industrial groundworks package in the Taunton area.

The project offers a minimum of 12 months' work, with further packages already available to move onto for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day groundworks activities on site.
• Coordinate site teams, labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required standard.
• Monitor progress, quality and Health & Safety.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers and wider site team.
• Work alongside another Site Manager to manage the package effectively.

Requirements

• Previous Site Manager experience within groundworks.
• Strong groundworks background, ideally on industrial projects.
• SMSTS - Essential.
• CSCS - Essential.
• First Aid at Work - Desirable.
• Other relevant tickets and qualifications are useful.
