Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to oversee multiple gangs on an industrial groundworks package in Devon. This non-working supervisor role focuses on coordinating teams, monitoring progress and ensuring safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate will have SSSTS and CSCS, with RAMS updates and site documentation experience. The role offers a negotiable day rate and an initial 4–6 month contract, with potential for ongoing work.

Qualifications

• SSSTS certification is essential.
• CSCS card is essential.
• First Aid knowledge is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multiple groundworks gangs on site.

Supervisor - Groundworks - Devon

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to join an established groundworks subcontractor on an industrial groundworks package in the Devon area.

The client is currently confidential and further details will be disclosed at interview stage. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor looking for a long-term opportunity, with an initial 4-6 month contract and further work available.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a couple of gangs on site and supporting the day-to-day delivery of the groundworks package. This is a non-working Supervisor role, with responsibility for coordinating teams, monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered safely and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate multiple groundworks gangs.
• Manage day-to-day site activities and labour.
• Coordinate materials, plant and resources.
• Monitor progress and ensure works remain on programme.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety on site.
• Carry out site inspections and daily briefings.
• Assist with RAMS updates and site documentation.
• Liaise with the Site Manager and wider project team.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues.

Scope of Works

The project involves a standard industrial groundworks package, with the successful candidate overseeing the works and coordinating the site teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Supervisor within groundworks.
• Experience working for a groundworks subcontractor preferred.
• Industrial groundworks experience advantageous.
• Experience supervising multiple gangs.
• SSSTS - Essential.
• CSCS Card - Essential.First Aid - Desirable.
• Basic experience updating RAMS and site documentation.
