Job summary

Catering is seeking a Freelance Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager to join a live refurbishment scheme in Morpeth. You will support day-to-day management and coordinate works to ensure safety, schedule and quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, overseeing external works, solar panel installation, and maintaining records. The role is contract-based and starts ASAP with a 8-10 week duration.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager.
• Experience on refurbishment or external envelope projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety.
• SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
• CSCS card on site access.
• First Aid training or certification.

We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager to join a live refurbishment and improvement scheme inMorpeth.

The project involves a mixture of external and internal works, including pebble dash, cavity wall works, solar panel installation and minor electrical works, alongside loft insulation internally.

The Role

You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management and coordination of works on site, ensuring activities are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Duties will include:

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site


• Overseeing external works including pebble dash and cavity wall works


• Coordinating solar panel installation and associated works


• Supervising minor electrical and internal works


• Monitoring loft insulation works


• Maintaining health & safety standards across site


• Liaising with subcontractors, residents and the wider project team


• Ensuring works are completed to programme and specification


• Maintaining site records and reporting progress

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager


• Experience working on refurbishment, housing, retrofit or external envelope projects is advantageous


• Strong understanding of site health & safety


• SMSTS / SSSTS

• Good communication and organisational skills


• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively
