Job summary

Equans is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day activities across Cheshire East and West sites on a 3-month contract. You will travel between sites with a valid UK driving licence and own vehicle, ensuring work is completed to safety and quality standards on schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, maintaining site records, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and enforcing health and safety practices across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required.
• CSCS card holder essential.
• First Aid trained or qualified.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) required.
• Fire Marshal qualification preferred.
• Asbestos Awareness is desirable.
• Proven experience as Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Able to coordinate multiple sites and teams.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to support works across Cheshire East and West sites.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The role will involve travelling between multiple sites, so a full UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities across multiple council locations.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives.
• Monitor work progress, quality and programme.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety standards are maintained.
• Ensure site documentation and records are kept up to date.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Identify and report any site issues or risks.
• Ensure appropriate PPE and safe working practices are followed.
• Support the smooth delivery of works across sites.
