Job summary

Orchard Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Site Manager for our North West client, a regional construction contractor delivering education, healthcare, commercial and industrial projects. Permanent role with salary up to £50,000 Basic + Package, plus career progression.

You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, uphold health and safety, quality, and environmental standards, and report progress, drawing on drawings, specs, and programmes to drive successful handover.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in site management on construction projects.
• Experience delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and best practice.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the construction site.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and the supply chain.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the programme.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Manage site activities per drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Monitor progress and resolve issues to keep the programme on track.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractor requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, QS, design team and client.

The Client

Our client is an established regional construction contractor who had a strong track record of delivering quality construction projects across the North of England. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Site Manager to join their North West team.

Projects are delivered across a range of sectors which include education, healthcare, commercial, leisure, heritage and industrial.

The Role

• Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the construction site.
• Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
• Ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Managing site activities in accordance with drawings, specifications, programmes and contractual requirements.
• Monitoring progress against programme and identifying and resolving issues at an early stage.
• Coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractor requirements.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, design team, client and other project stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation.
• Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Building positive and collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the supply chain.
• Supporting the successful handover and completion of projects.

Key Requirements
