My client is looking to appoint an experienced Civils Site Manager to support the delivery of a major £6 million station redevelopment project at Witham Station in Essex.
The wider project includes the construction of a new station building, a new station forecourt and car park, foundation works, trenching, ducting, drainage, lighting bases, refurbishment of the existing station facilities and a full station rewire.
The project is expected to run for approximately 60 weeks, with the civils works beginning within the next four to five weeks.
Working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, site supervisors and subcontractors, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the civils package. You will coordinate labour, plant and materials, monitor progress against the programme and ensure all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
This role would suit a practical, hands‑on Site Manager who is comfortable working directly with site teams, resolving issues quickly and driving works forward. Previous rail experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided for the railway environment.
