Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead civil engineering and power infrastructure projects on a nationwide basis. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, manage sub-contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance across National Grid and NGED interfaces.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid, and a full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience managing civil engineering sites in power/utilities projects.
• Proven track record on National Grid/NGED substations or overhead line projects.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold, and First Aid certifications.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met.
• Coordinate civils packages, groundworks, foundations, and cable route installations.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and RAMS.
• Interface with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal project managers.

Location: Site-Based (UK-Wide Travel) Office Base: Gloucester / South Wales

Employment Type: Permanent

Package: 65,000 (NEG DOE) + Car/Allowance + Travel Expenses + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee site operations for major civil engineering and power infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, health & safety compliance, and direct management of sub-contractors and site teams on National Grid and NGED infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met.
• Coordinate civils packages, groundworks, foundations, and cable route installations.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
• Interface with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal project managers.

Requirements

• Strong background in Civil Engineering within the power/utilities sector.
• Proven track record on National Grid and/or NGED substation or overhead line projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide (site-based).
