Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is looking for an experienced Site Manager holding SR163 Authorisation to oversee civils and power infrastructure projects on National Grid sites. You will manage day-to-day site operations, ensure safety, quality and progress, and lead sub-contractors on complex works across UK-wide locations.

The role requires SR163 authorisation, a strong civil engineering background in the power/utilities sector, and a full UK driving license with willingness to travel UK-wide.

Qualifications

• SR163 Authorisation (National Grid/NGED) - essential.
• Strong Civil Engineering background in power/utilities.
• Proven track record on National Grid/NGED projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide (site-based).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, safety, quality and progress targets.
• Act as SR163 ticket holder on site and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Coordinate civils packages, groundworks, foundations, and cable route installations.
• Conduct RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks, and method statements.
• Interface with client representatives, sub-contractors, and project managers.

Package: 70,000 (NEG DOE) + Car/Allowance + Travel Expenses + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager holding SR163 Authorisation to oversee site operations for major civil engineering and power infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, health & safety compliance, and direct management of sub-contractors and site teams on National Grid and NGED infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and progress targets are met.
• Act as the designated SR163 ticket holder on site, ensuring strict compliance with National Grid / NGED safety protocols.
• Coordinate civils packages, groundworks, foundations, and cable route installations.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
• Interface with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal project managers.

Requirements

• SR163 Authorisation (National Grid / NGED) - Essential.
• Strong background in Civil Engineering within the power/utilities sector.
• Proven track record on National Grid and/or NGED substation or overhead line projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide (site-based).
