Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager for civil infrastructure within the UK power sector. The role covers end-to-end delivery of civil packages for high-voltage projects, with responsibility for finances, procurement, and client relations across National Grid/NGED assets.

You will lead site teams, ensure safety and CDM compliance, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget. Occasional travel UK-wide with a base in Gloucester/South Wales.

Qualifications

• Must have proven PM experience in UK civil engineering for power projects.
• Experience managing National Grid and NGED civils projects is essential.
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• Industry accreditations MAPM/SMSTS/CSCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of civil engineering packages for high-voltage projects.
• Oversee budgets, cost control, procurement and commercial management.

Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure (National Grid / NGED)

Location: UK-Wide Travel / Site & Office-Based (Gloucester / South Wales Base)

Employment Type: Permanent

Package: 85,000 (NEG DOE) + Executive Car/Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to take full end-to-end operational and financial responsibility for civil engineering projects within the power transmission and distribution sectors. You will manage multiple civils packages across National Grid and NGED assets, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of civil engineering packages for high-voltage power projects.

• Oversee project finances, budgeting, cost control, procurement, and commercial management.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships with National Grid, NGED, and key industry stakeholders.

• Lead and mentor site management teams, safety leads, and sub-contractors.

• Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, client specifications, and company H&S policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering within the UK power sector.

• Demonstrable track record managing National Grid and/or NGED civils projects.

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).

• Relevant industry accreditations (e.g., MAPM, SMSTS, CSCS).

• Willingness to travel to sites UK-wide with occasional base working in Gloucester/South Wales.
