Site Manager (Rail)

Location: Liverpool, North West Area. Merseyside, Southport, Greater Manchester, Chester

Contract Type: Permanent

What you’ll do:

We're seeking a dynamic Site Manager to enhance our Rail and Infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you'll support the Contracts Manager in overseeing various arboriculture projects and structure clearance works across the North. Your expertise will be instrumental in propelling our projects forward, making previous arboriculture experience essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with the contract manager to oversee daily operations and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on-site through regular audits and inspections.
2. Maintain efficiency and agility in managing fluctuating workloads while offering guidance and support to field-based teams to enhance cohesion and productivity.
3. Skillfully price work and execute projects, delivering results that exceed expectations, while leading the thorough scoping of sites and assessing project requirements and constraints.
4. Develop comprehensive task briefs to provide clear direction and alignment with project objectives, and engage with clients to address concerns and maintain satisfaction.
5. Effectively manage working hours to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel on-site, and strategically plan possessions to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
6. Oversee the seamless execution of projects, promptly addressing any issues that arise to ensure project continuity and quality.

What we’re looking for:

• Rail experience with PTS
• Arboriculture & De-vegetation experience

Desirable:

• We particularly welcome applications from experienced Site Managers within the rail sector who hold SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH, First Aid, and ideally both FWC and COSS certifications.
