Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Site Manager to oversee a rapid delivery of an industrial warehouse project in Blackpool. Immediate start for a 4 to 5 month contract, leading on-site operations and coordinating subcontractors.

You will drive health and safety compliance, manage the fast-track schedule, oversee quality controls on steel framework, cladding, and flooring, and liaise with clients, design teams, and local authorities to keep milestones on track.

Qualifications

• Proven freelance or interim track record managing fast-track industrial, commercial, or steel-frame warehouse construction projects.
• Mandatory tickets: SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS Card (Black Manager level).
• Strong background in rapid structural erection, envelope cladding, and final fit-out stages.
• Ability to drive productivity and manage site costs alongside QS under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Rapid-Response Site Leadership: take immediate control of day-to-day site operations and coordinate all active sub-contractors, trades, and on-site staff.
• H&S Compliance: ensure high safety standards with toolbox talks and site audits under tight schedules.
• Accelerated Programme Delivery: manage fast-track schedule, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to hit milestones.
• Quality Assurance: oversee inspections for structural steel frame components, cladding, and industrial flooring finishes.
• Stakeholder Liaison: lead progress meetings with clients, design teams, and local authorities.
• Site Documentation: maintain accurate site diaries, permits, and progress reports.

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Freelance Construction Site Manager to step in immediately and oversee the rapid delivery of an industrial warehouse build in Blackpool.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapid-Response Site Leadership: Take immediate control of day-to-day site operations, coordinating all active sub-contractors, trades, and on-site staff.
• H&S Compliance: Ensure uncompromising standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, running regular tool-box talks and site audits under a compressed schedule.
• Accelerated Programme Delivery: Closely manage the fast-track construction schedule, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing immediate corrective actions to keep milestones strictly on track.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee rigorous quality control inspections for structural steel frame components, cladding, and industrial flooring finishes.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Lead regular progress meetings with clients, design teams, and local authorities to maintain transparent communication.
• Site Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site diaries, permits, and progress reporting logs.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Proven freelance or interim track record managing fast-track industrial, commercial, or steel-frame warehouse construction projects.
• Mandatory Tickets:
  • o Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • o First Aid at Work certificate
  • o CSCS Card (Black Manager level)
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in managing rapid structural erection, envelope cladding, and final fit-out stages.
• Commercial Awareness: Ability to drive productivity under time pressure while working alongside Quantity Surveyors to control site costs.
