Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build residential development in Hornsea. You will lead day-to-day site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure progress and quality on site.

This temporary/contract assignment offers hourly rates of £28.54 (umbrella) or £21.62 per hour (PAYE), with UK work eligibility and strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Site Manager on new build housing schemes.
• Certifications (Mandatory): SMSTS, CSCS Card (Black Manager or White Academically/Professionally Qualified), First Aid at Work.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site activities to ensure smooth progress and handover deadlines are met.
• Coordinate, supervise and direct direct labour and subcontractors.
• Enforce rigorous health and safety standards on site at all times.
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging throughout the build stages.
• Ensure accurate site inductions, toolbox talks, and required site documentation are completed.
• Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, clients and NHBC/building control inspectors.

About the Role

• Carry out quality inspections and snagging throughout the build stages.
• Ensure accurate site inductions, tool-box talks, and required site documentation are completed.
• Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, clients, and NHBC/building control inspectors.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven track record: Demonstrable experience working as a Site Manager on new build housing schemes.
• Certifications (Mandatory):
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS Card (Black Manager or White Academically/Professionally Qualified)
  • First Aid at Work (valid certification)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current UK building regulations and health & safety standards.
