Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build residential development in Hornsea. You will lead day-to-day on-site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure works progress safely on schedule.

You will enforce high build quality, conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and coordinate with clients, NHBC, and building control inspectors.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as Site Manager on new build housing schemes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily on-site activities to ensure progress and handover deadlines are met.
• Coordinate, supervise, and direct labour and subcontractors on site.
• Enforce health and safety standards at all times on site.
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging throughout build stages.
• Ensure site inductions, toolbox talks, and required documentation are completed.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, NHBC and building control inspectors.

Pay Rate: 28.54 per hour (Umbrella) 21.62 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced and driven Site Manager to oversee a new build residential development in Hornsea.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day site operations, managing subcontractors, ensuring works progress safely on schedule, and maintaining the highest standards of build quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all daily on-site activities to ensure smooth progress and handover deadlines are met.
• Coordinate, supervise, and direct direct labour and specialist subcontractors.
• Enforce rigorous health and safety standards on site at all times.
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging throughout the build stages.
• Ensure accurate site inductions, tool-box talks, and required site documentation are completed.
• Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, clients, and NHBC/building control inspectors.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven track record: Demonstrable experience working as a Site Manager on new build housing schemes.
• Certifications (Mandatory):
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS Card (Black Manager or White Academically/Professionally Qualified)
  • First Aid at Work (valid certification)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current UK building regulations and health & safety standards.
