Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is hiring a Retrofit Site Manager based in Birmingham to lead retrofit works across occupied and void social housing properties, with a daily rate of 250 and a potential to go permanent.

You will supervise subcontractors and site teams, coordinate insulation, windows, roofing, heating and other energy-efficiency measures, ensure health & safety compliance and quality, and work with the Contracts/Project Manager to deliver the programme.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS certification required.
• Experience as a Site Manager in social housing or retrofit.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Job description

Enjoy a competitive 250 per day rate with the opportunity to move into a permanent position paying 50,000 per annum as a Retrofit Site Manager, based in Birmingham.

As the Retrofit Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of retrofit works across occupied and void social housing properties
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme
• Coordinating multiple trades including insulation, windows, roofing, heating, ventilation and other energy-efficiency measures
• Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety legislation, building regulations and relevant retrofit standards
• Monitoring workmanship and carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Managing site documentation, RAMS, permits, toolbox talks and daily records
• Identifying and resolving site issues, defects and quality concerns
• Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery

Retrofit Site Manager qualifications / experience:

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• Previous experience as a Site Manager, ideally within social housing, refurbishment or retrofit
• Good understanding of retrofit works and energy-efficiency measures
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
• Knowledge of health & safety, RAMS and site compliance
• Understanding of working within occupied residential properties
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Retrofit experience within social housing is highly desirable
