Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager (Retrofit) for a temporary role with potential to become permanent. You will oversee a small team of Site Managers delivering Retrofit works across Social Housing, including solar, ventilation, loft insulation, and windows/doors.

Based in Basingstoke with coverage across Rickmansworth, Harrow, High Wycombe, Chelmsford and surrounding areas, you will manage programmes to deliver on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contracts Manager within Social Housing is essential.
• Knowledge of Retrofit and Planned Works is essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• DBS check is required.
• SMSTS or equivalent NVQ and First Aid desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Site Managers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Oversee multiple Retrofit and Planned Works projects.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Manage client relationships and attend regular client meetings.
• Ensure contract documentation and reporting is completed accurately.
• Support bids, tenders and procurement planning.

Contracts Manager (Retrofit) - Temp to Perm

Location: Basingstoke office, covering Rickmansworth, Harrow, High Wycombe, Chelmsford and surrounding areas.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Contract: Temporary initially, with potential to become permanent

Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager (Retrofit) to oversee a small team of Site Managers delivering Retrofit works across Social Housing.

You'll manage programmes covering solar, ventilation, loft insulation, windows and doors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Site Managers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Oversee multiple Retrofit and Planned Works projects.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Manage client relationships and attend regular client meetings.
• Ensure contract documentation and reporting is completed accurately.
• Support bids, tenders and procurement planning.

About You

• Experience as a Contracts Manager within Social Housing.
• Strong background in Retrofit and Planned Works.
• Knowledge of PAS 2030 & PAS 2035 is essential.
• Experience with SHDF and associated documentation.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SMSTS / relevant NVQ and First Aid desirable.
• DBS check required.
