Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Site Manager to oversee social housing retrofit and planned refurbishment projects across the South East, including Rickmansworth/Watford.

You will manage site teams and subcontractors, ensure works are completed safely, on time and to budget and quality standards, and maintain strong relations with clients and residents.

Role is a fixed-term contract until March 2027, 39 hours per week, with a car allowance or company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Site management experience in social housing or occupied properties.
• Experience delivering planned refurbishment or retrofit works.
• Knowledge of insulation, ventilation, solar, windows or doors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Pass DBS check.

Site Manager - Social Housing Retrofit

Location: Rickmansworth/Watford, covering sites across Harrow, High Wycombe, Chelmsford and surrounding areas
Contract: Fixed-term contract until March 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Salary: Competitive salary plus car allowance or company vehicle

Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple social housing retrofit and planned refurbishment projects across the South East.

You will manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Projects will include solar installations, loft insulation, ventilation measures, windows and doors.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing multiple live sites, trades and subcontractors
• Coordinating programmes, resources and project documentation
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
• Collating evidence and documentation in line with SHDF requirements
• Monitoring budgets, progress, quality and deadlines
• Building positive relationships with clients and residents

The successful candidate will have:

• Site management experience within social housing or occupied properties
• Experience delivering planned refurbishment or retrofit works
• Knowledge of insulation, ventilation, solar, windows or doors
• SMSTS or a relevant construction NVQ
• Three-day First Aid certificate
• A full UK driving licence
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
• The ability to pass a DBS check
