What is the role?
The purpose of the role is to manage the construction site according to company guidelines and goals, ensuring all aspects of the project are in conformity with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a construction site to ensure development is completed on time, to specification, and in compliance with safety regulations, company, and construction standards
- Ensure all quality and safety inspections are within standards and conducted according to Group guidelines
- Coordinate activities with external parties such as warranty providers, local authorities, and utility companies to meet build schedules
- Maintain accurate records including staff inductions, health and safety reports, timesheets, incident reports, and quality checklists
- Call off and check materials, ensuring proper storage in line with Group guidelines
- Supervise workforce and subcontractors to ensure timely completion, quality, and budget adherence
- Collaborate with departments like Sales and Customer Care to meet targets and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure site workforce and visitors comply with the Group Health, Safety, and Environment Policy to minimize incidents
- This role involves travel across various sites and occasional trips to other Group offices
What experience do I need?
- Experience in the house building industry is essential
- Knowledge of NHBC, LABC, or Premier standards
- Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
- Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualified to minimum NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management preferred
