Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Site Manager to oversee social housing refurbishment projects from Burton and surrounding areas. You will lead a skilled trades team, manage site activities, and ensure on-time delivery to high standards.

You will hold a SMSTS/NVQ, First aid at work and a Full UK driving licence, travelling between sites daily while maintaining cost controls and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certificate or equivalent NVQ required.
• First aid at work certification.
• Proficiency with MS Office and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Select and form site personnel teams, including Sub Contractors.
• Ensure contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time with Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and implement risk assessments and control measures.
• Ensure legal, statutory, health and safety compliance on all sites.
• Assist in preparation for estimates, bids and tenders with Contracts Manager.
• Create, manage and report on projects across multiple live sites via a master programme.

Location: Working for our Burton office/Site Based - around Derby, Ilkeston, Nottingham, Leicester and surrounding areas,

Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

Overseeing the smooth operation of multiple assigned sites delivering social housing re‑roofing projects, ensuring all personnel perform their duties efficiently and effectively. The aim is to complete each contract on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, achieving zero defects while maintaining strict health and safety compliance for the workforce, clients, and the general public.

An outline of your responsibility as a Site Manager

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including Sub Contractors)
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the Construction Phase Health
• Ensure all sites work comply with Legal and Statutory requirements, including Health, Safety and Welfare
• Assist in the preparation process for estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
• Create, manage and report on projects with multiple, live site locations through the use of a master programme.

About You

The successful Site Manager will enhance the existing team and will have strong experience in Planned refurbishment Works, within Social Housing/tenantedproperties and have a good working knowledge of Internal or external refurbishments, previous Roofing knowledge not essential. Managing the delivery through to completion/ handover. Managing a few sites at any given time. Commercial awareness ensuring costs are meeting budget requirements. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to Sites daily. You must hold SMSTS or associated NVQ and First aid at work, as well as being confident with IT and proficient in MS Office. The role will require a DBS check
