Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Site Manager to oversee retrofit and planned refurbishment projects across social housing sites around Basingstoke, Newbury, Reading and Chippenham. You will manage site teams, keep projects on time, and ensure safety and quality across multiple contracts.

Ideal candidates will have Retrofit experience, strong communication skills, a UK driving license and relevant qualifications such as SMSTS/NVQ, 3-day First Aid. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Retrofit & Planned refurbishment works in Social Housing/tenanted properties.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage site teams, activities and resources across contracts.
• Oversee selection and formation of site personnel teams including subcontractors.
• Ensure contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time with Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and implement risk controls via Construction Phase Health & Safety management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare regulations.
• Assist in preparation of estimates, bids and tenders with Contracts Manager.
• Create and manage projects across multiple live sites using a master programme.

Location: Basingstoke office, Site based around Newbury, Reading, Chippenham and surrounding areas, Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

Whilst ensuring the smooth running of multiple designated sites, ensuring all site personnel carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client or the general public.

An outline of your responsibility as a Site Manager

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including Sub Contractors)
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the Construction Phase Health
• Ensure all sites work comply with Legal and Statutory requirements, including Health, Safety and Welfare
• Assist in the preparation process for estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
• Create, manage and report on projects with multiple, live site locations through the use of a master programme.

About You

The successful Site Manager will ideally have strong experience in Retrofit & Planned refurbishment Works, within Social Housing/tenantedproperties and have a good working knowledge of Internal and External works , managing the delivery through to completion/ handover, including understanding complex documentation and evidence collating to tight deadlines. Managing a few sites at any given time. Commercial awareness ensuring costs are meeting budget requirements. Great communication skills to build relationships with the Client and Tenants alike. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to Sites daily. You must hold SMSTS or associated NVQ, 3 day First Aid, as well as being confident with IT and proficient in MS Office. It would be beneficial to hold a Temporary Works coordinator qualification The role will also require a DBS check.
