Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Site Manager to lead refurbishment projects in social housing in and around Cannock, with site-based responsibilities and a Monday–Friday schedule. You will manage a skilled trade team across multiple sites, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining safety standards.

The role demands experience in internal refurbishments (kitchens, bathrooms) and a strong grasp of project delivery from initiation to handover.

Qualifications

• Experience with planned refurbishment projects, especially in social housing.
• Able to manage multiple sites and coordinate internal/external teams.
• Commercial awareness to meet budget and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Select and form site personnel teams, including subcontractors.
• Collate preconstruction information (packs, asbestos surveys).
• Ensure contract documentation and reports are accurate and on time with Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and implement risk assessments and controls.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare regulations.
• Assist in preparing estimates, bids and tenders with Contracts Manager.
• Create and manage master programmes for multiple live sites.

Job description

Location: Stoke on Trent office but Site Based - Working in and around Cannock and surrounding area - Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

Whilst ensuring the smooth running of multiple designated sites, ensuring all site personnel carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client or the general public.

An outline of your responsibility as a Site Manager

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
• Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including Sub Contractors)
• Collate all preconstruction information (packs, asbestos surveys etc).
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the Construction Phase Health
• Ensure all sites work comply with Legal and Statutory requirements, including Health, Safety and Welfare
• Assist in the preparation process for estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
• Create, manage and report on projects with multiple, live site locations through the use of a master programme.

About You

The successful Site Manager will have strong experience in Planned refurbishment Works, within Social Housing/tenanted properties and have a good working knowledge of Internal refurbishments including but not limited to Kitchen and Bathroom refits , managing the delivery through to completion/handover. Managing a few sites at any given time. Commercial awareness ensuring costs are meeting budget requirements. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to Sites daily. You must hold SMSTS or associated NVQ, as well as being confident with IT and proficient in MS Office.
