Job summary

Oakwood Infant and Nursery School in Derby is seeking a full-time Site Manager and Caretaker for a permanent year-round role. The position includes routine maintenance, contractor liaison, records, cleaning stock control, and support for the cleaning team.

Successful applicants will require an Enhanced DBS check and will start on 4 January 2027. The school is looking for reliable, adaptable individuals who can work independently and as part of a team.

• Act as a key point of contact for emergencies.
• Act as a registered key holder for the school.

Job description

The work covers routine and reactive maintenance, compliance checks, contractor visits, site records and cleaning stock, plus support for the cleaning team. Hours are a split shift across Monday to Friday, starting at 7am. Successful applicants need an Enhanced DBS check, and the post starts on 4 January 2027.
