Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a 6-week industrial strip-out and roofing project in Carlisle. You will take day-to-day control of site activities, coordinate subcontractors and site operatives, and ensure works run to programme.

Requirements include SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Fire Marshal, Asbestos Awareness, strong health and safety knowledge, and proven site management experience on industrial/refurbishment/roofing projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager on industrial, strip-out or roofing projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Fire Marshal, Asbestos Awareness.
• Good IT skills to complete site documentation and reporting electronically.
• Strong knowledge of construction health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site operatives.
• Plan and coordinate strip-out and roofing activities.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across the site.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Review RAMS and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved methods.
• Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet the required standards.
• Liaise with the project team, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays to the programme.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries and housekeeping.
