Job summary

TXM Recruit is partnering with a leading automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Supervisor for an automated distribution facility in Milton Keynes. The role focuses on maintaining client relations while leading engineers and team leaders in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in automated intralogistics, a strong track record in people leadership, and an IOSH certificate.

Qualifications

• Proven history of leadership and development of teams.
• NVQ Level 3+ engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automated or similar facility.
• IOSH certificate and adherence to H&S procedures.
• Engineering apprenticeship would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance to current H&S standards.
• Lead people: performance reviews, development and coaching of the team.
• Drive the people agenda and succession planning.
• Develop and enforce standard ways of working.
• Escalation management during incidents with key stakeholders.
• Assist Planned Preventative Maintenance and equipment audits.
• Attend daily meetings and liaise with operations on workload.
• Organise repairs, improvements and modifications.
• Plan shift manning to meet operational needs.
• Support project installation work including cost reductions.
• Conduct compliance auditing including health and safety.
• Oversee spare parts processes.
• Deputise for Site Manager during absences.

Position: Site Maintenance Supervisor, Location: Milton Keynes, Salary: Very Desirable

TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee a fast-paced automated distribution facility. This role will involve maintaining relations with clients, as well as managing engineers and team leaders. The Ideal candidate will have experience working within the automated intralogistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance to current H&S standards TOP
• People Leadership including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of team, dealing with employee relations issues, and employee welfare and wellbeing
• Drive the people agenda and focus on progressing succession and talent pipeline
• Enable the creation and implementation of standard ways of working
• Effective escalation management during incidents with key stakeholders
• Assist with planning of Planned Preventative Maintenance of automation equipment, including the auditing of the equipment
• Attend daily meetings & liaise with operations to ensure workload is prioritised correctly
• Organise improvements, repairs and modifications
• Organise shift manning to achieve operational requirements
• Organise / assist in project installation work including cost reduction activities
• Compliance auditing, inclusive of health and safety
• Overall management of Spare Parts processes
• Deputise for Site Manager in periods of absence

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Proven history of strength in people leadership and development
• A recognised engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 minimum), ideally NVQ Level 5
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant transferrable industry or service
• Hold an IOSH certificate & adhere to all company/ customer legislative and H&S procedures
• Recognised apprenticeship in an engineering field would be desirable
• Experience of managing teams (4+)
• Proven track record in service maintenance
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally, and in writing
• Computer Literate, MS Office / CMMS systems
