The role focuses on maintaining client relations, managing supervisors and budgets, and delivering operational excellence across a diverse team. NEBOSH is essential, with Lean/Six Sigma experience powering continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• HNC/D NVQ Level 5 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in automated distribution/manufacturing facilities is essential.
• Proven leadership of large teams (15+).
• Strong Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• Able to cover software systems with electro-mechanical insight.
• Customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with H&S standards.
• Oversee site management with a workforce of 15+ people.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold company reputation.
• Plan and manage site budgets and commercial activities.
• Match tasks to team skills to deliver defined SLAs.
• Lead on-site improvements and installations.
• Handle customer management and escalation processes.
• Oversee all training (technical and regulatory).
• Lead the site team from apprentices to supervisors.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify improvement opportunities.
• Cooperate with HR on absence management and wider initiatives.
• Produce reports and data analyses as required.
• Dedicate time for project work and improving processes.
• Be prepared to support UK and global HR initiatives.
• Present KPI-based monthly reviews to stakeholders.

Position: Site Manager

TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced automated distribution facility. This role will involve maintaining relations with clients, management of supervisors/team leaders, budget management and much more.

The Ideal candidate will have experience working within the automated intralogistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Key Promote a strong safety culture and compliance to current H&S standards
• Overall management of site with over 25 employees
• Provide complete customer satisfaction whilst enhancing the reputation of the Company
• Strategically plan and manage site budgets and associated commercial activities
• Match tasks with team skill-sets to ensure delivery of defined SLA
• Manage, as the on-site representative, all system improvements and installations
• Take a leading role relating to customer management and escalation management
• Manage all training requirements, both technical and regulatory
• Lead the site team and manage a diversity of skillsets from apprentices through to site supervisors
• Partnering with the Heads of Department and Key account managers to identify opportunities that will support improvement in both organisational and people performance, and ultimately supporting the overall business objectives
• Lead the management of long-term absence, utilising our Occupational Health partnership when needed, also working closely with the HR Coordinator to manage and reduce short-term absence
• Produce reports and data analysis as required
• Time for project work and improving ways of working is essential, so you need to effectively manage the day to day and have capacity to step up to support wider HR initiatives both in the UK and globally
• Able to effectively present a KPI based monthly review to key stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• HNC/D NVQ Level 5 and/or relevant higher engineering qualification
• Operational experience within an automated distribution or manufacturing facility
• High profile leader, with experience of managing large teams (15+)
• Strong experience of Lean / 6 Sigma
• Technical skills to cover software systems, with a good appreciation of electro-mechanical installations
• Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with CMMS
• NEBOSH qualification essential
• Strong data analytical and report development skills
