Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Network Construction Lead Operative to take the lead on site, delivering mains renewal schemes and ensuring a continuous supply of good-quality drinking water. You will coordinate colleagues, contractors and stakeholders while upholding safety and quality standards.

Role requires mains renewal experience or a formal NCO qualification in utilities, CDM knowledge, and completion of NRSWA modules. A full UK driving licence is needed due to travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Mains renewal experience or formal NCO qualification in utilities.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations and practical training in Utility Avoidance and Location, Thrust Boring, Safe Digging and 360 Excavator (<10T).
• Completion of all NRSWA modules.

Responsibilities

• Lead on site to safely deliver mains renewal schemes.
• Coordinate colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders to meet safety and quality standards.
• Perform dynamic risk assessments and maintain CDM compliance; manage traffic and interruptions while hitting budget.
