Job summary

pladis Global in Halifax is seeking a senior HR Business Partner to lead the site HR agenda, shaping culture, accountability, safety, engagement and performance on the shop floor. You will partner with site leadership to translate business goals into pragmatic HR plans aligned with regional and global strategies, while building trust-based union relationships and ensuring effective change management.

The role requires coaching line managers, data-driven decision making, and close collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience leading site HR plans aligned with wider strategies.
• Strong union relations and industrial relations experience.
• Ability to lead change in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Capable of coaching line managers and building capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HR agenda and align with regional/global HR strategies.
• Build trust-based union relationships and manage collective negotiations.
• Develop capability of line managers in people leadership and performance.
• Drive employee engagement and annual engagement survey actions.
• Oversee industrial relations, pay negotiations and site-wide HR processes.
• Lead senior hires and site succession planning.
• Collaborate with Reward, Talent, L&D and Occupational Health to implement HR solutions.
• Provide coaching and support to site leaders on change management.
