Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is expanding our Derby team and seeks an experienced Site Foreman to lead construction activities on a major project in partnership with Rolls-Royce. You will supervise site operations, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery on a hands-on site.

You will read drawings, follow RAMS and site procedures, and maintain high standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Foreman or General Foreman on major construction or civil project.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site activities in line with the construction programme.
• Direct site operatives and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate daily activities with the Site Manager and delivery team.
• Monitor progress and address issues that could affect programme."
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and RAMS.
• Lead daily briefings to communicate planned activities and site requirements.
