Job summary

Sphere Solutions in Didcot, Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join a major infrastructure scheme. The role is hands-on and site-based, overseeing day-to-day activities of site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely and to the required quality.

The successful candidate will supervise operatives, coordinate labour and materials, monitor quality and safety, and report progress to the management team. CSCS and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Foreman/General Foreman on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
• CSCS and relevant site qualifications.
• SMSTS or SSSTS would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and plant.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across the project.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.
• Coordinate labour, materials and plant to maintain productivity.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure works are completed to the required specification.
• Brief site teams on RAMS, safe systems of work and daily activities.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers and subcontractors to resolve issues and keep works progressing.
• Maintain accurate site records and report progress, issues and requirements to the management team.
• Ensure health and safety and environmental standards are maintained.

The Role
