Job summary

All Saints Bedworth CofE Academy is seeking a dependable Site Services Officer to manage the school's fabric and grounds, oversee security and cleaning coordination, and supervise minor repairs. The role involves advising on improvements to enhance the learning environment and acting as a key holder for opening/closing routines.

You will monitor contractors, ensure safety checks, and maintain daily operations during term and holidays, supporting a clean, safe, and well-maintained site.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for site management including fabric and grounds of the school.
• Oversee security, cleanliness, porterage and monitoring of contracts/contractors.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs; advise on improvements to the school environment.
• Act as main key holder, opening/closing the school in coordination with the cleaning team.
• Implement security procedures for buildings and grounds; respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Monitor cleaning performance to ensure a clean, well maintained environment.
• Carry out basic maintenance and report items beyond staff competence.
• Operate heating plant to maintain temperatures and hot water supply.
• Prepare for after school activities and ensure accommodation is ready for normal use.
• Undertake school lettings and ensure compliance with letting procedures.
• Lock up, secure windows, switch off electrical items, and switch on alarms at night.
• Check drains, litter, and safety of corridors, hubs and offices.
• Inspect and advise on repairs with the Academy Business Partner.
