Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting a Site Engineering Manager for our Ashby-de-la-Zouch site. You will lead a team of engineers, oversee day-to-day engineering and maintenance, and ensure high equipment availability in a highly automated operation.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, CMMS experience, and a track record of driving safety, reliability and continuous improvement with operations and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous management or engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or automated warehousing environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience managing/leading an engineering/maintenance team.
• Strong understanding of planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
• Experience with automated equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Strong Health & Safety understanding in engineering.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.
• Experience working with operations and customers to improve equipment reliability.
• Identify recurring faults and drive continuous improvement.

Job Role of the Site Engineering Manager

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Site Engineering Manager has come to the forefront. This is a great opportunity to join a highly automated, fast-paced operation where you will take responsibility for the site engineering function and lead a team of engineers.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operation, ensuring planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance is delivered to a high standard while maximising equipment availability and minimising downtime.

Working closely with the customer and operations teams, you will drive engineering performance, continuous improvement, Health & Safety and the development of the site engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Engineering Team Leader looking to develop their career within a highly automated environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Site Engineering Manager

• Previous management or engineering leadership experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or automated warehousing environment.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 engineering qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Experience managing, supervising or leading an engineering/maintenance team.
• Strong understanding of planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
• Experience with automated equipment

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety within an engineering environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Site Engineering Manager

• Experience within a highly automated distribution or logistics environment.
• Experience with automated conveyors, cranes and material-handling systems.
• Electrical engineering background.
• Experience managing engineering budgets and site performance.
• IOSH, NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience with PLCs, controls or automation systems.
