Job summary

Staffline in Bedfordshire is recruiting a Senior Site Engineering Manager to lead engineering, reliability and maintenance on a 24/7 FMCG manufacturing site, steering strategy and performance.

You will manage multi-million budgets, drive World Class Maintenance, implement TPM/Lean, and develop your teams on-site with a strong leadership stance. This is a high-impact, onsite leadership role with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading major cultural and leadership change.
• Experience leading frontline maintenance, services, and project teams.
• Track record using advanced manufacturing techniques (WCM/TPM/Lean).
• HNC/HND in engineering minimum.
• Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG.
• A confident leader, decision maker, and influencer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering resources (people/headcount) and technical skill set is maximised. 4 direct reports up to 25 indirect.
• Develop autonomous maintenance programmes - subject matter expert in maintenance.
• Continuous improvement and reengineering in everything you do - support and lead organisational change.
• You will create, implement, and manage the engineering maintenance strategy.
• Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.

• Job Role: Site Engineering Manager


• Senior site engineering leadership appointment reporting to Site Director


• Job Reward £80-85k Target Plus up to £8k Car Option and Bonus.

• You are a senior engineering leader, a leader of people and teams, setting the pace and strategy on a complex FMCG manufacturing site

You will be responsible for engineering, capital investment and maintenance activities and overseeing the development and implementation of engineering initiatives to improve all elements of OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) and people development.

• Leading the engineering technical change agenda for the Site, including all the maintenance activities to improve line performance, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles - TPM


• Change management, leadership and stakeholder engagement are the key challenges.


• Drive engineering performance improvements, lead projects, manage multi-million-pound budgets and lead your teams to strive for world-class engineering & Maintenance excellence


• Responsible for setting the engineering strategy, leading engineering activities, maximising production through maintenance of site assets

• Experience in delivering major cultural and leadership - change-oriented and flexible lean-orientated approach


• Experience in leading technical frontline maintenance, services, and project teams


• Track record of using advanced manufacturing techniques (E.g. WCM/TPM/Lean)


• HNC/HND within an engineering discipline minimum


• Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG


• A confident leader, decision maker, and influencer


• You will set the standard, vision, pace, and strategy on a large complex site


• Engineering leadership at a senior level in a manufacturing environment - open on industry, as long as its manufacturing or automated complex consumer supply chain
