Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Manager for two automated manufacturing facilities in Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will drive maintenance strategy, asset care and TPM across both sites, including a new capex facility, with CMMS as a core control tool.

You will lead a multi-skilled team, own maintenance planning and reliability improvements, and ensure health & safety and compliance while delivering uptime and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in heavy industrial automated environments.
• Experience implementing or optimizing a CMMS and proactive maintenance strategies.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for engineering operations across two automated, fast-paced manufacturing facilities located on the same site located in the Sutton in Ashfield area, One facility is well-established and operational, while the second is currently under construction as part of a multi-million-pound capital investment programme in partnership with a market-leading equipment supplier. The site operates at a multi-million-unit annual output, making reliability, uptime and asset performance absolutely critical. This role offers genuine influence and the opportunity to shape engineering strategy across both facilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Maintenance Manager:

• Lead, develop and manage the engineering team across both factories
• Take full ownership of site-wide maintenance strategy and performance

• Embed TPM tools, reliability-centred maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies
• Reduce downtime and improve OEE across automated production lines
• Ensure statutory compliance and uphold the highest health & safety standards

Key Requirements to Apply for the Engineering Maintenance Manager vacancy:

• A recognised Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Proven experience managing and leading maintenance teams within a heavy industrial, automated manufacturing environment
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-output production facilities
• Strong knowledge of TPM, asset care strategy and proactive maintenance planning
• Experience implementing or optimising a CMMS system
• Demonstrable success in reducing reactive maintenance and improving plant reliability
• Experience managing departmental budgets and cost control
• A strong commitment to health, safety and engineering compliance
• Exposure to capital projects, installation or commissioning activity (highly desirable)
