Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey are seeking a Site Engineer to support delivery on high value civil engineering projects across the UK. You will provide on-site coordination, maintain RAMS, and ensure works meet our SHEQ standards while building strong relationships with the supply chain.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification (HND or BSc preferred), a UK driving licence, and a willingness to travel. You will report into the Site Manager and contribute to programme progress through accurate

Qualifications

• HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a related field.
• BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a related field.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent technical knowledge of civil engineering and best practices.
• Willingness to travel and work throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for all aspects of a civil engineering project.
• Follow and implement McLaughlin & Harvey procedures, inspections and forms.
• Ensure site activities comply with SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Induct and approve RAMS for subcontractors, designers, clients, staff and visitors.
• Set out and level using GPS and/or total station equipment.
• Build strong relationships with management and supply chain.
• Record, submit and monitor non-conformance reports (NCR) and maintain NCR register.
• Keep drawings, specifications and other contract documents up to date.
• Ensure project programme is available and communicated to the supply chain.
