Job summary

Bimplus is seeking two site engineers for a long-term civil works scheme near Leiston, Suffolk, with emphasis on GPS surveying and earthworks.

You will set out, survey and level large-scale earthworks, operate GPS-enabled plant, produce as-built surveys, and work closely with earthworks supervisors and site management to ensure QA and timely delivery. This 42-week assignment starts ASAP and offers an excellent opportunity to deliver major infrastructure with modern machine-control systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive GPS surveying experience for earthworks projects.
• Experience with machine control systems and GPS-enabled plant.
• Major civils, highways or infrastructure background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey large-scale earthworks.
• Use GPS-enabled machinery for control and data collection.
• Set levels, profiles and formation levels.
• Produce as-built surveys and volume checks.

We are looking for 2 experienced Site Engineers with a strong earthworks and GPS background for a long-term civil engineering scheme near Leiston, Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with experience delivering large-scale earthworks, highways or infrastructure packages.

Duties will include:

• * Setting out and surveying large-scale earthworks
• * Working with GPS-enabled plant and machine control systems
• * Setting levels, profiles and formation levels
• * Producing as-built surveys
• * Volume and level checks
• * Checking drawings and coordinating with construction teams
• * Assisting with QA and technical documentation
• * Working closely with earthworks supervisors and site management

Requirements:

• * Strong knowledge of GPS surveying and machine control
• * Experience with Leica, Trimble or Topcon systems advantageous
• * Major civils, highways or infrastructure experience
