Job summary

Bimplus is seeking two experienced Setting Out Engineers for a major civil engineering scheme near Leiston, Suffolk. This long-term role starts in September and offers hands-on exposure to earthworks and highways works on a large-site project.

Applicants must have proven civil engineering setting-out experience, competence with GPS and robotic total stations, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings; prior QA documentation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven Setting Out Engineer experience within civil engineering.
• Experience with earthworks packages.
• Highways, infrastructure or heavy civils experience.
• Confident using GPS and robotic total stations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Setting out earthworks, drainage, roads and associated civils.
• Using GPS and robotic total station equipment.
• Establishing levels, coordinates and profiles.
• Producing and checking as-built surveys.
• Checking works against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assisting with QA documentation.
• Resolving technical and setting-out issues.
• Working closely with supervisors and site management.
