Job summary

Pave Recruit is working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering key infrastructure projects across London and the UK. They are looking for a Site Engineer to join their team.

You will conduct surveys and setting out, maintain quality records, and support project planning, working closely with the Project Manager, Supervisors and Gangers on site. Requirements include 3+ years’ Site Engineer experience, strong surveying and quality control skills, and proficiency with Leica total

Job description

The Company

Pave Recruit is working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering key infrastructure projects across London and the UK. Due to ongoing project demands, they are looking for a Site Engineer to join their team.

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered in line with design and specification, conducting site surveys, maintaining quality records, and supporting project planning. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Supervisors, and Gangers to ensure smooth execution on-site.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Duties:

• Conduct surveying and setting out using Leica TS16 robotic total station and GS18 GNSS receiver.
• Perform as-built surveys, setting out all elements in accordance with design and maintain site survey control networks.
• Oversee inspections and testing, including air, compaction, and concrete testing.
• Identify and report defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Capture and upload site progress photos to project SharePoint.

Office-Based Duties:

• Work with the Project Manager and site teams to plan and coordinate works.
• Review design information and raise TQs/Contractors Proposals as needed.
• Manage 3D setting-out data, DTM models, and redline drawings in Civil3D.
• Maintain quality records to ensure smooth project handover.
• Provide regular quality performance updates in team meetings.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer in civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of surveying, setting out, and construction quality control.
• Proficiency in Leica total stations, GNSS receivers, and Civil3D.
• Ability to manage documentation and work collaboratively with project teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
