Job summary

Talent Link is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a project-based role in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will establish level and survey control, set out works per drawings, and maintain accurate records to meet contractual and legal requirements.

The role requires familiarity with robotic total stations or EDM instruments, a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills to coordinate with Site Agents and procurement teams on resource planning and safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
• Fully conversant with robotic total station or EDM instruments.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.
• Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.
• Ensure work is delivered defect and snag-free.

• Ensure records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements
• Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and problems as they arise on site
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure adequate site resources
• Produce ITPs, Task Briefings, and 2-week look-aheads in conjunction with the Site Agent

Essential Requirements for Site Engineer:

• Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
• Fully conversant with robotic total station or EDM instruments
• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience using AutoCAD and MS Office
• Temporary Works Coordination
• CSCS card, Cable Avoidance training, and First Aid training
• NEBOSH or IOSH
