Job summary

Talent Link is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a role in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. You will establish level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per contract drawings, ensuring accuracy of records and compliance with regulations.

You will resolve on-site technical difficulties, coordinate with procurement for resources, and prepare ITPs, task briefings, and 2-week look-aheads with the Site Agent.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
• Experience with site documentation, ITPs and look-aheads is a plus.

• Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure work is delivered defect and snag-free.

An established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Responsibilities for Site Engineer:

• Establish level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per contract drawings
• Ensure records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements
• Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and problems as they arise on site
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure adequate site resources
• Produce ITPs, Task Briefings, and 2-week look-aheads in conjunction with the Site Agent
• Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets
• Promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times
• Ensure work is delivered defect and snag-free

Essential Requirements for Site Engineer:

• Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
• Fully conversant with robotic total station or EDM instruments
• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience using AutoCAD and MS Office
• Temporary Works Coordination
• CSCS card, Cable Avoidance training, and First Aid training
• NEBOSH or IOSH
