Job summary

Ridgeway & Co are recruiting an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a long-term civil engineering project in Harlow, Essex. You will take a senior role in engineering delivery, setting out and surveying, providing technical support to the wider delivery team.

The role requires strong setting-out and surveying experience within civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure, plus the use of Leica Total Stations and GNSS/GPS. This permanent position offers long-term security and progression.

Qualifications

• Strong setting-out and surveying experience is required.
• Experience delivering civil engineering or groundworks packages is essential.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and ensure quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Managing setting out, surveying and engineering activities across civil engineering and groundworks packages.
• Establishing and maintaining site control while ensuring works are delivered to drawings and specifications.
• Using Leica Total Stations, GNSS/GPS and levelling equipment for setting out and surveying.
• Providing technical support to site teams, resolving engineering issues and monitoring quality.
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, designers and wider delivery team while supporting junior engineers.
• Maintaining engineering records and ensuring high standards of health & safety on site.

Senior Site Engineer - Harlow

Ridgeway & Co are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor on a long-term project in Harlow, Essex.

Due to continued growth and the commencement of a new phase of works, the successful candidate will join an established site team and take a senior role in the engineering delivery of the project. You will be responsible for setting out, surveying, site control, quality and providing technical support to the wider delivery team.

This would suit an experienced Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer from a civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure background looking for a permanent position offering long-term security and genuine career progression.

Responsibilities

• Managing setting out, surveying and engineering activities across civil engineering and groundworks packages.
• Establishing and maintaining site control while ensuring works are delivered accurately to drawings and specifications.
• Using Leica Total Stations, GNSS/GPS and levelling equipment for setting out and surveying.
• Providing technical support to site teams, resolving engineering issues and monitoring quality throughout the works.
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, designers and wider delivery team while supporting junior engineers where required.
• Maintaining engineering records and ensuring high standards of health & safety are followed on site.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer within civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Excellent setting-out and surveying experience with Leica Total Stations, GNSS/GPS and levelling equipment.
• Civil Engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, engineering drawings and Microsoft Office.
• Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence. SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, TWS/TWC and Confined Spaces qualifications are advantageous.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Salary & Package

£75,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus performance bonus and company package.
